What is Afghan hash?

Afghan hash is the original hash. Long before anyone was washing plants in ice water or making dabs, people in the mountains of Afghanistan were collecting the sticky resin off the flower and working it together with heat and pressure until it became a dark, soft block. That is still the whole idea: the best part of the plant, pressed into something rich, smooth and easy to smoke.

Ours is made in that old style. It is dark brown, soft enough to pull apart with your fingers, and it smells earthy and spicy, a little like incense.

How to smoke Afghan hash

• In a joint or blunt: warm a small piece between your fingers, roll it into a thin snake and lay it along the flower before you roll.
• In a bowl: crumble a little on top of some flower so it doesn't fall through the screen.
• In a vape: use a dry herb vape with a concentrate pad.

It's strong, so start with a small piece and see how you feel.
